The anterior third ventricle region acquires clinical significance in benign and malignant tumors and cyst formations, of which craniopharyngiomas and gliomas are the most common. The subfrontal approach is one of the most preferred approaches for removing these tumors. In this study, the microsurgical anatomy of 81 Turkish, adult cadaveric hemispheres was examined to provide morphometric data of the region. These measurements from the anterior third ventricle region serve as a guide for neurosurgeons during surgical approach for removing anterior third ventricle tumors.

Background: Vertebrogenic pain is a documented source of anterior column chronic low back pain (CLBP) that stems from damaged vertebral endplates. Nociceptive signals are transmitted by the basivertebral nerve (BVN) and endplate damage is observed as Type 1 or Type 2 Modic changes (MC) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The clinical impact and safety of intraosseous radiofrequency ablation of the BVN (BVNA) for the treatment of vertebrogenic pain has been demonstrated in three prospective clinical trials (two randomized and one single-arm study).

Background: Minimally invasive cardiac surgery for mitral regurgitation is challenging in patients with narrow chests due to limited thoracic space. The butterfly technique can prevent systolic anterior motion in patients with degenerative mitral regurgitation and redundant posterior leaflets, but it is difficult to perform via minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Method: An individual-level Regional Radiomics Similarity Network (R2SN) for 487 patients with AD continuum (376 with NPSs vs. 111 without NPSs) were developed to find the R2SN connections associated with NPSs and refine the subtypes of NPS in the AD continuum.
