Clinicians play a crucial role in cancer prevention and control by providing accurate information and early detection services. This study assessed the level of cancer knowledge among a cross-section of clinicians in the Bono region of Ghana, focusing on their knowledge of cancer, signs, symptoms, and risk factors.

Aim: To develop and assess the feasibility of a nurse-led intervention aimed at improving the transition from cancer treatment to survivorship for adolescents by providing personalised information and psychosocial and self-management support.

Design: Intervention development through co-creation with adolescent patients with cancer, their parents and health care professionals, based on the MRC framework and qualitative feasibility testing.

Methods: The intervention development involved three steps: (a) identifying the problem through interviews with key stakeholders and by reviewing existing evidence on transition tools and practices; (b) designing the intervention through co-creation workshops with stakeholders and (c) assessing feasibility, acceptability and participants' experiences of the intervention through interviews with adolescents, parents, healthcare professionals and teachers.

Background: The evolving healthcare landscape emphasizes the need for health systems to adapt to growing complexities, with new models of care enabling healthcare providers to optimize their scope of practice and coordination of care. Despite increasing interest in advanced practice, confusion persists regarding the roles and scopes of practice of healthcare providers, exacerbated by variations in regulations and titles. We sought to clarify the differences between specialized healthcare professionals, practitioners, and clinical specialists; to describe their roles; and to propose initiatives aimed at supporting the implementation of advanced practice within a university hospital.

Escalating rates of mental illness emphasise the necessity for sufficient and appropriate mental health services. However, stigma and discrimination remain and can be seen through the multifaceted ways nurses communicate.
