Working memory (WM) flexibly updates information to adapt to the dynamic environment. Here, we used alpha-band activity in the EEG to reconstruct the content of dynamic WM updates and compared this representational format to static WM content. An inverted encoding model using alpha activity precisely tracked both the initially encoded position and the updated position following an auditory cue signaling mental updating.

In this study, we sought to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries, perceived pain, and physical activity level among Brazilian practitioners of strength training (ST) and functional fitness (FF). Participants were 311 men and women who trained in 10 FF training centers and seven ST gyms. Each participant completed surveys of the prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries, their pain perception, and their physical activity level.

Background: People with double burden of HIV and substance use have poorer treatment engagement and worse treatment outcomes. Cross-training of HIV and substance use disorder clinicians can potentially enhance the scale up and quality of integrated care. Research is needed on clinicians' areas of greatest training need in order to inform training development.

Background: Minority adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors experience disparities in receipt of survivorship care.
Objective: This study describes the infrastructure of a community-partnered participatory research (CPPR) project between a community-based organization and a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer center to develop culturally-tailored interventions to improve Latino AYA cancer survivor knowledge regarding their need for survivorship care.
Methods: Research team participants included the community organization and NCI cancer center directors, a research coordinator, a community liaison, and cross-training program interns.

Context: In 2015, the United States Federal Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children issued recommendations for state-based newborn screening programs to benchmark improvements in newborn-screening timeliness. Newborn screening (NBS) timeliness encompasses the efficient collection, transportation, testing, and reporting of results. Nearly all state programs fail to achieve recommended timeliness benchmarks.
