The first total syntheses of four isoflavone glucosides, tectoridin (), tectoridin A (), tectorigenin 7--β-d-glucopyranosyl-12--β-d-glucopyranoside (), and isotectroigenin 7--β-d-glucopyranoside (), have been accomplished. Key steps in our synthetic approach include a regioselective halogenation reaction, followed by methanolysis to introduce the -OCH group into isoflavone frameworks and a PTC-promoted stereoselective glycosidation to establish glycosidic bonds. The synthesized isoflavone glucosides (-) and their corresponding aglycones ( and ) were evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity against nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interleukin-1 β (IL-1β) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.

Aims: This study investigated the protective role of Annexin A1 (ANXA1) in sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE) by examining its effects on brain vascular endothelium and blood-brain barrier (BBB) integrity.
Methods: Mice were divided into four groups: wild type (WT), cecal ligation and puncture (CLP), ANXA1 knockout (ANXA1[-/-]), and ANXA1(-/-) with CLP. Neurobehavioral changes were assessed using the Y-maze test, while BBB integrity was evaluated through Evans blue dye (EBD) staining and permeability tests with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-dextran.

Objective: Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and tumorigenesis share numerous biological complexities; nevertheless, the specific gene expression profiles and underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. This study aims to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) that could serve as biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis.
Methods: Gene expression datasets (GSE122063, GSE13353, GSE161870) were analyzed using machine learning algorithms and logistic regression to identify DEGs associated with both SAH and tumorigenesis.

Objectives: To explore the mechanism by which Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein family verprolin-homologous protein 1 (WAVE1) regulates lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mitochondrial metabolic abnormalities and inflammatory responses in macrophages.
Methods: Macrophage cell lines with overexpressed WAVE1 (mouse BMDM and human THP1 cells) were prepared. The macrophages were treated with LPS (500 ng/mL) to simulate sepsis-induced inflammatory responses.

Lactate has been increasingly recognized for its role in diseases progression, necessitating a deeper understanding of its metabolic processes and regulatory mechanisms. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on lactate accumulation in bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs) and to elucidate the underlying regulatory mechanisms. Further optimization of LPS treatment points was achieved by assessing the content of key glycolytic enzymes-hexokinases (HK), pyruvate kinase (PK) and pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH)-as well as the expression levels of HK2, pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase4 (PDK4) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDHA).
