A 34-year-old man with sudden palpitations, dyspnea, and chest pain was found to have tachycardia and unilateral pulmonary congestion. Intravenous adenosine restored sinus rhythm. Imaging and pathology confirmed an atrial myxoma with severe mitral regurgitation, requiring surgical excision and mitral valve replacement.

A 42-year-old man experienced recurrent coronary artery spasm (CAS) secondary to eosinophilic asthma despite being on multiple medications. He underwent a successful unilateral stellate ganglion block followed by bilateral thoracoscopic sympathectomy, with no subsequent recurrence of CAS. These invasive therapies offer a potential treatment option for refractory CAS.

Acquired palpebral ptosis (also called blepharoptosis, or ptosis) is an abnormally low-positioned upper eyelid and occasionally presents as a chief complaint to the emergency department. Due to the wide range of causes and spectrum of severity, emergency physicians must recognize and initiate appropriate diagnostic and treatment pathways to limit the risk of long-term complications in those affected. We report a case of a 19 year old healthy man who presented with a chief complaint of unilateral eyelid droop in the setting of three days of sinusitis symptoms.

Background: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a well-established treatment option for advanced knee osteoarthritis, yet some patients remain unsatisfied after surgery. Evaluation of various psychosocial parameters may improve patient optimization and outcomes. The primary aim was to assess whether preoperative resilience remained stable and influenced decision regret postoperatively while the secondary aim was to evaluate its correlation with joint-specific and global health patient-reported outcome measures.

Objectives: This study was aimed to investigate the efficacy of comprehensive conservative treatments in patients with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) retrodiscal layer rupture and/or disc perforation.
Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective study of thirty-one consecutive patients with findings of TMJ retrodiscal layer rupture and/or disc perforation using magnetic resonance imaging. Comprehensive stomatognathic system assessments were performed.
