We describe a 20-year-old woman suffering from right temporal epilepsy, behavioral disorder, and a complaint of paroxysmal palpitations accompanied by anxiety. Detailed cardiac evaluation revealed that the palpitations were due to episodes of marked sinus tachycardia secondary to a concomitant postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and not of psychogenic origin as initially thought. Treatment with a beta-blocker resulted in the disappearance of palpitations and the associated anxiety. This is the first report of the coexistence of partial epilepsy and POTS. The recognition of such a syndrome in epileptic patients is important in order to offer appropriate therapy.

Purpose: To evaluate the reliability and validity of spinal alignment measurements in the raised arm standing posture using a smartphone app.
Background: An inclinometer is a reliable tool for measuring spinal alignment. Measurement of static standing posture spinal curvature angles using smartphone inclinometer applications has been investigated in the lumbar spine but has not been reported for the thoracic spine.

Background: We have noted that some adolescents and young adults with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) report difficulty with arms-overhead activities, suggestive of brachial plexus dysfunction or thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). In the TOS literature, diagnostic maneuvers focus on the provocation of upper limb symptoms (arm fatigue and heaviness, paresthesias, neck and upper back pain), but not on elicitation of systemic symptoms.
Objectives: To estimate the proportion of patients with fatiguing illness who experience local and systemic symptoms during a common maneuver used in evaluating TOS-the elevated arm stress test (EAST).

Background: Postural stability is a key factor in maintaining an upright standing position. Children with average height (CAH) have elaborate general postural stability up to the age of seven years. Children with achondroplasia (ACH) face body disproportions like shorter arms and legs, bowing of the legs as well as hyperlordosis and hypokyphosis in the spine.

Background: Sagittal spinal alignment is closely related to knee joint function, and sagittal malalignment can affect knee joint pain. This study investigated the association between knee joint pain intensity and sagittal spinal alignment in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 187 patients with knee osteoarthritis who were scheduled for primary unilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) from December 2021 to March 2023.

Background: Nonweightbearing preoperative assessments avoid quadriceps contraction that tends to affect patellar motion and appear to be inaccurate in quantifying anatomic factors, which can lead to incorrect corrections and postoperative complications.
Questions/purposes: (1) Does the relationship of patellar axial malalignment and other anatomic factors change during weightbearing? (2) What anatomic factor was most strongly correlated with recurrent patellar dislocation during weightbearing?
Methods: This prospective, comparative, observational study recruited participants at our institution between January 2023 and September 2023. During this time, all patients with recurrent patellar dislocations received both weightbearing and nonweightbearing CT scans; control patients who received unilateral CT scans because of injuries or benign tumors received both weightbearing and nonweightbearing CT scans.
