Coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) refers to clinical symptoms caused by structural and functional damage to coronary microcirculation. The timely and precise diagnosis of CMD-related myocardial ischemia is essential for improving patient prognosis. This study describes a method for the multimodal (fluorescence, ultrasonic, and photoacoustic) noninvasive imaging and treatment of CMD based on ischemic myocardium-targeting peptide (IMTP)-guided nanobubbles functionalized with indocyanine green (IMTP/ICG NBs) and characterizes their basic characteristics and in vitro imaging and targeting abilities.

Purpose: The study assessed the clinical outcomes following treatment of peri-implant mucositis using Er:YAG laser or an ultrasonic device over six months. Patients' experience of pain, aesthetics, and Quality of life were further assessed.
Methods: One dental implant, per included patient, diagnosed with peri-implant mucositis underwent treatment with an Er:YAG laser (test) or an ultrasonic scaler (control) randomly.

Objectives: To develop and validate an ultrasomics-based machine-learning (ML) model for non-invasive assessment of interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy (IF/TA) in patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN).
Materials And Methods: In this multi-center retrospective study, 471 patients with primary IgA nephropathy from four institutions were included (training, n = 275; internal testing, n = 69; external testing, n = 127; respectively). The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator logistic regression with tenfold cross-validation was used to identify the most relevant features.

Nano-oncologic vaccines represent a groundbreaking approach in the field of cancer immunotherapy, leveraging the unique advantages of nanotechnology to enhance the effectiveness and specificity of cancer treatments. These vaccines utilize nanoscale carriers to deliver tumor-associated antigens and immunostimulatory adjuvants, facilitating targeted immune activation and promoting robust antitumor responses. By improving antigen presentation and localizing immune activation within the tumor microenvironment, nano-oncologic vaccines can significantly increase the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy, particularly when combined with other treatment modalities.

The optimization of bioactive compound extraction from using ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) via sonotrode was investigated to maximize phenolic recovery and antioxidant activity while promoting a sustainable process. Optimal conditions (40% / ethanol in water, 38 min, 36% amplitude) were selected to maximize phenolic recovery while considering environmental and energy sustainability by optimizing extraction efficiency and minimizing solvent and energy usage. HPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS analysis tentatively identified 25 phenolic compounds, including sulfated phenolic acids, phlorotannins, flavonoids, and halophenols, with some reported for the first time in , underscoring the complexity of this alga's metabolome.
