Experience of radical surgical treatment in 253 patients with hepatic echinococcosis is presented. Twenty-six patients underwent hepatic resection; 218, pericystectomy, 9 patients, combined interventions. Based on comparative analysis of the results of surgical treatment in 109 patients from the study and control groups, it is concluded that radical operations have significant advantages and show fever postoperative complications and recurrences. Removal of fibrous capsule is a token of successful treatment for hepatic echinococcosis.

Photocatalytic removal of antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin from polluted water is of great value for eco-environment protection. To further enhance the piezoelectric effect in photocatalysis, we designed and synthesized a ternary heterojunction piezoelectric photocatalyst through uniformly loading MoS nanosheets onto BiFeO (BFO) nanofibers, namely MoS/BiS/BFO. Piezoresponse force microscopy and Kelvin probe force microscopy demonstrated its enhanced piezoelectric properties, showing a maximum amplitude displacement of 395.

Motivation: Coiled coils are a widespread structural motif consisting of multiple α-helices that wind around a central axis to bury their hydrophobic core. While AlphaFold has emerged as an effective coiled-coil modeling tool, capable of accurately predicting changes in periodicity and core geometry along coiled-coil stalks, it is not without limitations, such as the generation of spuriously bent models and the inability to effectively model globally non-canonical-coiled coils. To overcome these limitations, we investigated whether dividing full-length sequences into fragments would result in better models.
