Although Silicon monoxide (SiO) is regarded as the most promising next-generation anode material, the large volume expansion, poor conductivity, and low initial Coulombic efficiency (ICE) severely hamper its commercialization application. Designing a multilayer conductive skeleton combined with advanced prelithiation technology is considered an effective approach to address these problems. Herein, a reliable strategy is proposed that utilizes MXene and carbon nanotube (CNT) as dual-conductive skeletons to encapsulate SiO through simple electrostatic interaction for high-performance anodes in LIBs, while also performing chemical prelithiation.

Although segmentectomy is the standard surgical procedure for small-sized peripheral non-small cell lung cancer, reports on segmentectomy for right middle robe are rare because of the anatomical feature. We report a case of an 81-year-old woman with a history of left S4 segmentectomy, left basal segmentectomy, and right upper lobectomy for multiple primary lung cancer with a part solid nodule in S4a. Owing to the increased volume of the right middle lobe following a right upper lobectomy, a right S4 segmentectomy was performed.

Two-phase biocatalysis in batch reactions often suffers from inefficient mass transfer, inconsistent reaction conditions, and enzyme inactivation issues. Microfluidics offer uniform and controlled environments ensuring better reproducibility and enable efficient, parallel processing of many small-scale reactions, making biocatalysis more scalable. In particular, the use of microfluidic droplets can increase the interfacial area between the two phases and can therefore also increase reaction rates.
