Division of Sustainable Development, College of Science and Engineering, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar Foundation, Doha, Qatar.

As electric vehicles gain popularity, there has been a lot of interest in supporting their continued development with the aim of enhancing their dependability, environmental advantages, and charging efficiency. The scheduling of navigation and charging for electric vehicles is among the most well-known research topics. For optimal navigation and charging scheduling, the coupled network state between the transportation and power networks must be met; moreover, the scheduling outcomes might significantly impact these networks.

Photochromic Film Based on a Mixed-Heteroatom-Templated Er-Incorporated Polyoxometalate Used for Inkless Prints and Anti-Counterfeiting.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

December 2024

Henan Key Laboratory of Polyoxometalate Chemistry, College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences, Henan University, Kaifeng, Henan 475004, China.

Photochromic films have attracted increasing attention for their potential in information storage and photoswitchable devices. Developing novel photochromic materials is still a highly challenging topic. In this work, we successfully obtained an unprecedented mixed-heteroatom-templated Er-incorporated polyoxometalate [HN(CH)]NaKH{Er(HO)WO[SeTeWO][B-α-TeWO]}·117HO () by concurrently introducing the [TeO] and [SeO] heteroanion templates into the Er/WO system.

Multiyear and seasonal wide-scale indicators for French surface waters contamination by WFD substances.

Environ Sci Pollut Res Int

December 2024

Office Français de la Biodiversité (OFB), 5 Allée Félix Nadar, 94300, Vincennes, France.

This study offers an unprecedented valuation of the French surface waters WFD chemical monitoring dataset, covering 101 substances (metals, industrial and persistent organic pollutants (POPs), plant protection product (PPP) and biocides active substances, combustion residues) measured monthly on 4000 sites of the 6 main continental river basins, during 12 years (2009-2020). The concentration data were first made comparable through an original process removing the bias induced by the space-and-time heterogeneity of the monitoring labs performance, to gather a reference workable set of monthly contamination indicators. These were then used to display the substances' seasonal and interannual timeseries, revealing, e.

Objectives: Governance and leadership are regarded as the most crucial aspects in delivering quality health care, and yet they are arguably the most complex functions of any health system. The objective of the study was to investigate the structural problems affecting the implementation of the National Health Insurance (NHI) and address the challenges affecting the NHI building blocks. Further objective of the study was to evaluate if there were appropriate controls and accountability measures in leadership and governance to inform the development of a workable model for the implementation of the NHI in South Africa.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study focuses on evaluating interface bonding in asphalt composites due to a surge in the pavement sector, emphasizing the potential for cost savings through efficient bonding assessments.
  • - Microscopic and mechanical analyses were conducted on four different asphalt mixture groups, using techniques like fluorescence microscopy and a pull-off method to investigate the quality of the interface transition zones.
  • - Results from various performance tests (like rutting and semi-circular bending) showed how interface properties directly relate to the overall performance of asphalt mixtures, while innovative methods were introduced for better characterization of these interfaces.
