This article presents a collaborative model for hospital-based cardiovascular secondary prevention. The model employs a stake holder consortium to provide hospitals with a unified approach to improve care and conform to regulatory requirements. Hospital teams use a Web-based tool that embeds data collection in the process of care and supports rapid cycle improvement. Recognition of participation and achievement by the American Heart Association helps to obtain administrative support for the program.

Objective: Current biomarkers for predicting immunotherapy response in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are derived from invasive procedures with limited predictive accuracy. Thus, identifying a non-invasive predictive biomarker would improve patient stratification and precision immunotherapy.
Methods And Analysis: In this retrospective multicohort study, the discovery cohort included 205 NSCLC patients screened from ORIENT-11 and an external validation (EV) cohort included 99 real-world NSCLC patients.

Objective: Fast progression (FP) represents a desperate situation for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients undergoing immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. We aimed to develop a predictive framework based on machine learning (ML) methods to identify FP in advanced NSCLC patients using blood test biomarkers.
Methods And Analysis: We extracted data of 1546 atezolizumab-treated patients from four multicentre clinical trials.
Objective: Fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy is a first-line treatment for many gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, however, cardiotoxicity concerns may limit administration in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular disease (CVD). This study investigated the association of pre-existing CVD with use of fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy in tumour-eligible GI cancer patients.
Methods And Analysis: National cancer registry data from the Virtual Cardio-Oncology Research Initiative from England between 2014 and 2018 was used to identify GI cancer patients eligible to receive fluoropyrimidine chemotherapy.

Objective: Screening high-risk individuals with low-dose CT reduces mortality from lung cancer, but many lung cancers occur in individuals who are not eligible for screening. Risk biomarkers may be useful to refine risk models and improve screening eligibility criteria. We evaluated if blood-based DNA methylation markers can improve a traditional lung cancer prediction model.

Introduction: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs), comprised of ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD), are chronic inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Clinicians and patients must vigilantly manage these complex diseases over the course of the patient's lifetime to mitigate risks of the disease, surgical complications, progression to neoplasia, and complications from medical or surgical therapies. Over the past several decades, the armamentarium of IBD therapeutics has expanded; now with biologics and advanced small molecules complementing conventional drugs such as aminosalicylates, corticosteroids and thiopurines.
