Surgical and biopsy material was used from 57 patients with lung carcinoma (LC): 17 patients (group I) lived close to testing area from the childhood to 1993 and were exposed to radiation at the year dose 0.1 ber. For comparison surgical and biopsy material from 40 patients (group 2) was taken who lived in the territories of Kazakhstan (10 patients) and Moscow (30 patients) with normal radiation background. The following features of LC were found in the groups in question: constant observation of dust particles and interstitial and focal fibrosis in tumours of various localization and histological type; prevailing small cell carcinoma as compared to other histological types; high frequency of nonsmall cell lung carcinoma; higher expression of IGFII, IGFBP1,2 and rare expression of IGFB3; proliferative activity followed by an increased expression of c-myc, bcl-2.

Background: Ectopic thyroid tissue (ETT) is a rare congenital anomaly caused by the abnormal embryonic migration of thyroid tissue, leading to its presence outside its usual pretracheal location. This condition can lead to diagnostic challenges, especially when located within the airway, as it mimics other respiratory disorders such as asthma.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a 69-year-old man with endotracheal ETT presenting with severe dyspnea, and the lesion was initially suspected to be malignant.

Malignant tumors are among the major diseases threatening human survival in the world, and advancements in medical technology have led to a steady increase in their detection rates worldwide. Despite unique clinical presentations across the spectrum of malignancies, treatment modalities generally adhere to common strategies, encompassing primarily surgical intervention, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted treatments. Uncovering the genetic elements contributing to cancer cell proliferation, metastasis, and drug resistance remains a pivotal pursuit in the development of novel targeted therapeutics.

Chest imaging in children presents unique challenges due to varying requirements across age groups. For chest radiographs, achieving optimal images often involves careful positioning and immobilisation techniques. Antero-posterior projections are easier to obtain in younger children, while lateral decubitus radiographs are sometimes used when expiratory images are difficult to obtain and for free air exclusion.

Purpose: The aim of the present study is to examine the demographic data and clinical features of ocular surface injuries due to thermal burns and to evaluate LSCD in the light of global consensus.
Methods: Thirty-three eyes of 20 cases with ocular surface injury due to thermal burn who attended to the clinic between 2012 and 2023 were included in the study. LSCD severity was staged according to the global consensus which was published in 2019.
