It is shown, under the assumption of the possibility to perform an arbitrary local operation, that all nonlocal variables related to two or more separate sites can be measured instantaneously, except for a finite time required for bringing to one location the classical records from these sites which yield the result of the measurement. It is a verification measurement: it yields reliably the eigenvalues of the nonlocal variables, but it does not prepare the eigenstates of the system.

This study introduces a non-destructive, quantitative method using low-field MRI to assess moisture mobility and content distribution in cherry tomatoes. This study developed an advanced 3D non-local mean denoising model to enhance tissue feature analysis and applied an optimized TransUNet model for structural segmentation, obtaining multi-echo data from six tissue types. The structural T2 relaxation inversion was refined by integrating an ACS-CIPSO algorithm.

Non-signalling conditions encode minimal requirements that any (quantum) systems must satisfy in order to be consistent with special relativity. Recent works have argued that in scenarios involving more than two parties, correlations compatible with relativistic causality do not have to satisfy all possible non-signalling conditions but only a subset of them. Here we show that correlations satisfying only this subset of constraints have to satisfy highly non-local monogamy relations between the effects of space-like separated random variables.

The early populations that inhabited the Antilles were traditionally understood as highly mobile groups of hunters/fishers and gatherers. Although more recent data have demonstrated that some populations engaged in the production of domestic plants and cultivars, questions remain about other aspects of their lifeways, including whether the adoption of domesticates was accompanied by a decrease in residential mobility. The level of sedentism in a population is an instrumental variable to understand community social relations and complexity, adaptations, and lifeways.

Exact closure for hydrodynamic variables is rigorously derived from the linear Boltzmann kinetic equation. Our approach, based on spectral theory, structural properties of eigenvectors, and the theory of slow manifolds, allows us to define a unique, optimal reduction in phase space close to equilibrium. The hydrodynamically constrained system induces a modification of entropy that ensures pure dissipation on the hydrodynamic manifold, which is interpreted as a nonlocal variant of Korteweg's theory of viscosity-capillarity balance.
