In order to increase yield, the cultivation of Pinellia ternata in artificial soil was studied, and its growth habits was investigated. At same time, the measures of dominating soil thickness, using nutrient solution as fertillizer and complete illumination were taken. The research results can supply a reference for the industrial production of P. ternata.

Introduction: is a perennial herb of the family Araceae that grows in China and has various medicinal properties and applications. At present, the artificial cultivation of is constrained by seedling propagation. To address the problems of low seedling breeding propagation efficiency and high cost, our group has developed a highly efficient cultivation technology for "hydroponic cuttings of "for the first time.

Broad spectrum protection against different insects and pathogens requires multigene engineering. However, such broad spectrum protection against biotic stress is provided by a single protein in some medicinal plants. Therefore, tobacco chloroplasts were transformed with the agglutinin gene from Pinellia ternata (pta), a widely cultivated Chinese medicinal herb.

Objective: To study the change of photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics of Pinellia ternata around sprout tumble.
Method: Tubers of P. ternata were cultured firstly at (25 +/- 1) degrees C for certain days, and then they were coerced under 37 degrees C stress in the same artificial climate boxes.
