Background: The aging global population and the rising prevalence of chronic disease and multimorbidity have strained health care systems, driving the need for expanded health care resources. Transitioning to home-based care (HBC) may offer a sustainable solution, supported by technological innovations such as Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) platforms. However, the full potential of IoMT platforms to streamline health care delivery is often limited by interoperability challenges that hinder communication and pose risks to patient safety.

A spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) is a rare complication of combined spinal epidural anesthesia. The case of a 55-year-old man who underwent orthopedic surgery under combined spinal epidural anesthesia is presented. Flurbiprofen and horse chestnut seed extract that potentially affect coagulation function during the perioperative period were used.

Background: There has been an increased interest in meniscus preservation over the last decade. Several risk factors for the failure of meniscal repair have been identified. However, the timing of meniscal repair has not been extensively assessed in the literature, and there is currently no high-quality evidence on the optimal timing of performing meniscal repair after an injury with regard to outcomes.

Newborn screening (NBS) presents an opportunity to identify a subset of babies at birth who are at risk for developmental delays and could benefit from a range of developmental services. Potential developmental services in the United States include Part C Early Intervention (EI), private therapies, and school-based services. Using parent-reported outcomes, this study examined the rates at which a sample of children diagnosed with NBS conditions used each developmental service.
