We described the use of an abductor digiti minimi musculocutaneous (ADM) island flap as an opposition transfer. This procedure is easy and safe, and provides more of a bulge in the thenar area than the Huber transfer. This procedure can be used in the treatment of Blauth grade 2 and 3A hypoplastic thumb.

Background: Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) is an autoimmune disorder of the presynaptic neuromuscular junction associated with antibody mediated dysfunction of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). LEMS can exist as a paraneoplastic syndrome, paraneoplastic-LEMS (P-LEMS), when associated with tumors, most commonly, small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) or as a non-paraneoplastic condition (NP-LEMS) when no malignancies are detected.
Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted in 3 tertiary hospitals in Saudi Arabia for patients diagnosed with LEMS between January 2010 and January 2020.

In ulnar neuropathy at the elbow (UNE), the degree of neuropathic changes, the sensitivity of needle electromyography (EMG) in individual ulnar muscles, and the utility of individual EMG parameters are controversial. I compared qualitative needle EMG findings in two ulnar-innervated hands muscles and two ulnar-innervated forearm muscles in a group of previously reported UNE patients. Altogether, 170 UNE patients (175 arms) were studied.

This study topographically mapped the ulnar nerve and its distal branch points from a well-defined surgical landmark and assessed for variations in interfascicular motor arrangement and branch size.
Methods: Fifty-four cadaveric upper extremities were dissected to expose the distal ulnar nerve and its branches (dorsal cutaneous (DCB), volar sensory (VSB), and motor branches).

Hirayama disease (HD) is a rare disorder characterized by insidious asymmetric neurogenic atrophy primarily involving the upper extremities. HD most commonly affects adolescent males and has a favorable prognosis for arrest of progression. Electrodiagnostic (EDX) studies show chronic denervation changes in the distal upper extremity muscles.

Peripheral nerve conduction velocity (NCV) and nerve cross-sectional area (nCSA) are crucial parameters in neurophysiological assessments, yet their sex-specific differences are not fully understood. This study investigated sex-based variations in NCV and nCSA between upper and lower limbs. Twenty participants (ten males and ten females) were recruited for this study.
