Improvements to eating disorder (ED) care are urgently needed in the United Kingdom (UK) and around the world. Informed by my lived experiences, independent research, and involvement in the underappreciated field of quality improvement (QI), I have written this article to offer ideas on how to improve individuals' access to and experiences of ED care. The Alertapnée study followed 555 adults with obstructive sleep apnea treated with CPAP and found that the occurrence of Cheyne-Stokes respiration (CSR) was linked to a 14-fold increase in the risk of significant cardiac events (SCE) after one year. However, the progression and clinical significance of CSR episodes over time remain unclear. This ancillary study aimed to assess CSR progression and clinical outcomes during a second year of follow-up in 66 patients who had experienced at least one CSR episode in the first year.

Background: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the role of the glucose-to-potassium ratio in predicting in-hospital mortality and prognosis of patients diagnosed with sepsis and septic shock in an emergency department and admitted to an emergency critical intensive care unit (ICU).

Methods: This study was a retrospective and observational evaluation of nontraumatic sepsis and septic shock patients > 18 years of age who were admitted to the emergency department of a tertiary training and research hospital and had available glucose and potassium values at the time of admission. The patients were evaluated over a 24-month period.
