Objective: Sarcopenia, a condition characterized by the gradual decline of muscle mass, strength, and function, is a key indicator of malnutrition in cancer patients and has been linked to poor prognoses in oncology. Sarcopenia is commonly assessed by measuring the skeletal muscle index (SMI) of the third lumbar spine (L3) using computed tomography (CT). This meta-analysis aimed to explore the relationship between low SMI and clinicopathological features, as well as prognosis, in individuals with endometrial cancer (EC).

Ovarian cancer is a malignancy gynecologic oncology with high incidence and high mortality rate. M2-like tumor-associated macrophages promote cancer cell migration and metastasis. Ovarian tumor family deubiquitinase 4 (OTUD4) belongs to deubiquitinating enzyme family.

Background: Ovarian Cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death among women worldwide and the therapeutic landscape to treat it is constantly evolving. One of the major points of decision for the treatment choice is the presence of some genomic alterations that could confer sensitivity to the new available therapies including inhibitors of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARPi) with BRCA1 and 2 genes playing the most important role.
Methods And Results: We performed the search for any somatic and/or germline alteration in patient's samples by next generation sequencing (NGS).

Background: Predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (PPPM/3PM) is a strategy aimed at improving the prognosis of cancer, and programmed cell death (PCD) is increasingly recognized as a potential target in cancer therapy and prognosis. However, a PCD-based predictive model for serous ovarian carcinoma (SOC) is lacking. In the present study, we aimed to establish a cell death index (CDI)-based model using PCD-related genes.

Ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynecologic cancer, and with the majority of patients dying within the first five years of diagnosis, new therapeutic options are required. The small guanosine triphosphatase (GTPase) Ras-related nuclear protein (Ran) has been reported to be highly expressed in high-grade serous ovarian cancers (HGSOCs) and associated with poor outcomes. Blocking Ran function or preventing its expression were shown to be promising treatment strategies, however, there are currently no small molecule inhibitors available to specifically inhibit Ran function.
