Including preventive models of health care in undergraduate education is essential as the nursing profession moves increasingly to community-based care. Traditionally, mental health curricula have focused primarily on psychopathology. This article presents current research in the attachment and temperament literature, which provides sound evidence for the need to synthesize prevention of mental illness concepts into undergraduate education. A curriculum model that integrates concepts from psychiatry and public health to prepare nursing students to promote mental health is described.

Background: Effective communication with patients and their families is a fundamental skill for medical students to cultivate during their undergraduate training. However, communicating with pediatric patients presents unique challenges. This study investigated the perceptions, attitudes, and confidence levels of undergraduate medical students regarding communication skills in pediatrics.

Background: Machine learning (ML) is increasingly used in population and public health to support epidemiological studies, surveillance, and evaluation. Our objective was to conduct a scoping review to identify studies that use ML in population health, with a focus on its use in non-communicable diseases (NCDs). We also examine potential algorithmic biases in model design, training, and implementation, as well as efforts to mitigate these biases.

Purpose: This study quantified the impact of clinical clerkships on medical students' disciplinary knowledge using the Comprehensive Clinical Science Examination (CCSE) as a formative assessment tool.
Methods: This study involved 155 third-year medical students in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University who matriculated in 2016. Disciplinary scores on their individual Comprehensive Clinical Science Examination reports were extracted by digitizing the bar charts using image processing techniques.

Lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs) offer high energy density and environmental benefits hampered by the shuttle effect related to sluggish redox reactions of long-chain lithium polysulfides (LiPSs). However, the fashion modification of the d-band center in separators is still ineffective, wherein the mechanism understanding always relies on theoretical calculations. This study visibly probed the evolution of the Co 3d-band center during charge and discharge using advanced inverse photoemission spectroscopy/ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (IPES/UPS), which offers reliable evidence and are consistent well with theoretical calculations.
