Reactions of hemopoietic granulocytic stem in hypoxia of different severity.

Published: October 2002

We studied the reactions of granulocytic hemopoietic stem after acute hypoxia and during the development of posthypoxic encephalopathy. Damage to brain structures was associated with intensification of the bone marrow hemopoiesis due to activation of hemopoiesis-inducing microenvironment and more intense formation of hemopoietic islets, despite reduced proliferative capacity of granulocytic precursors.

To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of ferric derisomaltose injection versus iron sucrose injection in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) . A total of 120 patients with iron deficiency anemia admitted from June 2021 to March 2023 were given intravenous iron supplementation with ferric derisomaltose to assess the efficacy and safety of hemoglobin (HGB) elevation before and after treatment. Simultaneously, the clinical effects of iron supplementation with iron sucrose were compared to those of inpatient patients during the same period.

Introduction: Agarose gel-based conventional and real-time allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (AS-PCR) assays are currently used for sensitive detection and quantification of MYD88 L265P mutation. Visual inspection of an agarose gel can often be ambiguous. We propose a new allele-specific quantification PCR (AS-qPCR) assay, PlentiPlex™ MYD88 Waldenström lymphoma qPCR assay, that uses Intercalating Nucleic Acid (INA®) technology for increased affinity and specificity.

Article Synopsis
  • COVID-19 vaccines were developed quickly to help control the pandemic, but many people were unsure about getting them.
  • This study looks at how to reduce concerns about these vaccines by analyzing possible side effects using data from a special reporting system.
  • A advanced computer program was created to find out how different vaccines (PFIZER, JANSSEN, and MODERNA) affect people's recovery, hospital stays, and death rates, showing very high accuracy in its results.

Article Synopsis
  • Chronic neuroinflammation and abnormal glutamate receptor activation are linked to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), prompting research into potential neuroprotective treatments.
  • The study used a rat model of ASD induced by valproic acid and tested the effects of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and risperidone on behavior and biochemical parameters from postnatal days 23 to 43.
  • Results indicated that G-CSF improved behavioral issues and reduced oxidative stress/inflammation in a dose-dependent manner, while risperidone was less effective; G-CSF also showed interactions with NMDA and AMPA receptors, supporting its role as a neuroprotective agent against ASD symptoms.
