Background: Changes in retinal vessel caliber are crucial for detecting early retinopathy, a significant cause of blindness in individuals with Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (T2DM). This study aims to evaluate the changes in retinal vessel caliber and identify factors associated with these changes in recently diagnosed T2DM patients.
Methods: The study included newly diagnosed T2DM patients (within 6 months of diagnosis) who were free of antidiabetic treatment (except metformin) and matched individuals based on age and blood pressure (BP).

Purpose: To investigate the effect of nocturnal chronic hypoxia on the thickness changes of the corneal limbal epithelial area that provides regeneration of the corneal epithelium and ocular surface evaluation parameters in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Methods: All patients diagnosed with OSA and the control group underwent a complete ophthalmological examination, including slit-lamp examination and funduscopy. Tear break-up time, Schirmer test-I, Ocular Surface Disease Index Questionnaire, and anterior segment optical coherence tomography were performed with fluorescein sterile strip for ocular surface evaluation.
Objective: We aimed to evaluate the risks of death and cardiovascular death of different subtypes of masked hypertension, defined by either isolated daytime or nighttime blood pressure (BP) elevation, or both, compared with patients with normal both office and 24-h BP.
Methods: We selected 4999 patients with masked hypertension (normal office BP and elevated 24-h BP). They were divided in three different categories: isolated daytime masked hypertension (elevated daytime BP and normal nighttime BP, 800 patients), isolated nighttime masked hypertension (elevated nighttime BP and normal daytime BP, 1069 patients) and daytime and nighttime masked hypertension (elevation of both daytime and nighttime BP, 2989).

Nocturnal urination frequency is associated with sleep blood pressure (BP). However, it was uncertain to what extent the sleep BP increases within individuals with each increase in the number of nocturnal urination. We calculated intraindividual differences in sleep BP between nights with different urination frequencies to clarify their relationship.

Study Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of dopamine agonists (DA) and Clonazepam on Large Muscle Group Movements during sleep (LMM), a distinct motor phenomenon, in Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS).
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 51 drug-free adult patients with RLS, divided into three groups: 33 received a DA (pramipexole or ropinirole), 15 received clonazepam, and 18 received a placebo. Each patient underwent two consecutive nocturnal polysomnographic (PSG) recordings: one baseline and one following treatment administration.
