The 48 y as a pediatrician, serving children and families was beyond attending to their presenting complaints. The combined roles as a child health doctor, medical teacher, researcher and administrator were interesting, nevertheless a tightrope walk. The lessons and wisdom that emerged from my learning journey, guided by my esteemed mentors, made me realise that the history and physical examination remain as the foundation of clinical assessment of a well or an ill child, even when we rely on technology to make a diagnosis.

Introduction: Persistent genital arousal disorder/genitopelvic dysesthesia (PGAD/GPD) is a rare, yet debilitating disease, which has been included in ICD-11. Pharmacotherapy in PGAD/GPD is a mixed blessing - drugs may either alleviate symptoms or worsen/induce them. Therefore, we aim at offering both an overview of pharmacological approaches to treat this disorder, including treatment failures, and to highlight drugs that may induce or worsen symptoms.

We present a geometry-based interpretation of the f-statistics framework, commonly used in population genetics to estimate phylogenetic relationships from genomic data. The focus is on the determination of the mixing coefficients in population admixture events subject to post-admixture drift. The interpretation takes advantage of the high dimension of the dataset and analyzes the problem as a dimensional reduction issue.

Unfortunately, little is known about the boundary condition of the double-edged effects of workplace friendships and the elaborated understanding of the mechanism of positive and negative effects of workplace friendship simultaneously. Our purpose is to reveal that workplace friendship is a mixed blessing by investigating when and how workplace friendships are likely to promote versus inhibit voice behavior.

(GBS), also known as , is a gram-negative, beta-hemolytic facultative anaerobe that causes neonatal pneumonia and sepsis. The neoplastic epithelial cells in adults, especially those of squamous origin, can show special adhesive properties toward GBS, which tends to reside within these tumors. There are some animal and human studies proving this association.
