The role of antibodies in the occurrence of recurrent spontaneous miscarriage is well known. However there are many controversial issues in the management of habitual abortion. This paper describes the effect of Protein A immunoadsorption on serum levels of these antibodies and its impact on a case of a successfully treated woman in a outpatient department without need for a central venous catheter. Given the favourable clinical results described in our paper we think it may be relevant for some worse cases in clinical practice and will interest your readers.

Imlifidase is an endopeptidase known for cleaving anti-Human Leucocyte Antigen donor-specific antibodies (DSA) to allow high-risk kidney transplantation. However, it lacks comprehensive data regarding its effect on alloantibodies targeting other histocompatibility antigens, such as Major Histocompatibility Complex class I chain-related protein A (MICA). This study describes the dynamics of anti-MICA antibodies following imlifidase administration in a kidney transplant recipient with anti-MICA*002 preformed DSA.

Autoantibodies (AABs) are currently being investigated as causative or aggravating factors during post-COVID. In this study, we analyze the effect of immunoadsorption therapy on symptom improvement and the relationship with immunological parameters in post-COVID patients exhibiting symptoms of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) induced or aggravated by an SARS-CoV-2 infection. This observational study includes 12 post-COVID patients exhibiting a predominance of ME/CFS symptoms alongside increased concentrations of autonomic nervous system receptor (ANSR) autoantibodies and neurological impairments.
