Aim: To examine the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AsAT) and alaninaminotransferase (AlAT) in homogenates of hepatic biopsies from patients with echinococcosis.
Material And Methods: Clinical, biochemical examinations, ultrasonic examination of the liver were made in 49 patients with hydatid echinococcosis of the liver and 5 control patients operated on for extrahepatic pathology. Morphological picture of the liver was examined with light microscopy. AsAT and AlAT activity in hepatic tissue were estimated with 2,4-dinitrophenilhydrazin method.
Results: There were marked cellular and extracellular disorders and significant lowering of transaminases in the pericystic zone of hepatic tissue vs such indices for far from the echynococcal cyst sites of the liver.
Conclusion: In hepatic echinococcosis hepatic tissue undergoes diffuse alteration associated with severe morphofunctional disorders which require adequate preoperative preparation of the patients, in postoperative period adequate intensive therapy is needed.

Objectives: Liver transplant is the most effective therapeutic option for patients with end-stage liver disease, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and acute liver failure. We evaluated whether the percentage of hepatic fat percentage affected transplant outcomes to determine whether livers with varying severity of macrosteatosis should be considered suitable for donation.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed data from 381 patients with liver failure who received liver transplant at Montaseriyeh Hospital in Mashhad, Iran, between 2013 and 2022.

Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) encompasses a range of histological findings from the generally benign simple steatosis to steatohepatitis (MASH) which can progress to fibrosis and cirrhosis. Several factors, including the microbiome, may contribute to disease progression.
Results: Here, we demonstrate links between the presence and abundance of specific bacteria in the adipose and liver tissues, inflammatory genes, immune cell responses, and disease severity.

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the association between sarcopenia and liver fibrosis in patients aged 18-59 years with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and to assess the potential of sarcopenia as a risk factor for the progression of liver fibrosis.
Methods: The study included 821 patients with MASLD in the US cohort and 3,405 patients with MASLD in the Chinese cohort. Liver controlled attenuation parameters (CAP) and liver stiffness measurements (LSM) were assessed by vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE) to evaluate the extent of hepatic steatosis and fibrosis.

Compared to traditional 2D-cultured mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), 3D-MSCs offer distinct advantages in disease treatment. However, large-scale culture of 3D-MSCs remains labor-intensive and time-consuming. Thus, developing cryopreservation method for 3D-MSCs is essential for clinical application.
