The genomics efforts have identified a large number of novel genes and thus provided a pool of interesting but not functionally characterized target proteins. It has been suggested that structural proteomics will significantly impact the success rate of functional characterization of such identified genes and proteins by providing structure-function hypotheses by fold and feature recognition and analysis. Structural proteomics initiatives, both in academic and industrial settings, are today generating protein structures at an unprecedented rate although relatively few large-scale efforts have been displayed in the public domain. However, a number of individual studies have provided a 'road-map' for selected approaches that hold the promise to significantly impact the process of deriving function from structure.

The aim of this study was to investigate the inhibitory effect of glutamate molecular structure and protein on breast cancer cell metastasis and the potential inhibitory mechanism of cell-derived exosomes via MAPK signaling pathway. Breast cancer cell lines with high metastatic potential were selected by in vitro cell culture technique. The effects of specific inhibitors of glutamic acid on the proliferation and metastasis of breast cancer cells were studied.

Steamed egg (SE), a traditional egg dish, exhibits steaming time-dependent textural properties. This study investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying SE gel formation and deterioration through quantitative proteomics combined with physicochemical characterization. Results showed optimal gel formation at 11 min steaming, while prolonged steaming (23 min) led to gel cracking and sensory deterioration.

Biofilms are complex adhesive structures that establish chronic infection and allow robust protection from external stressors such as antibiotics. Cellulose as one of the compositions of bacteria biofilm which protect bacteria from stress, host immune responses and resistance to antibiotics. Bacterial stress responses are regulated via guanosine pentaphosphate and tetraphosphate (p)ppGpp.

Background: Inhibition of IL-4/IL-13 driven inflammation by dupilumab has shown significant clinical benefits in treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD).
Objective: To assess longitudinal protein and metabolite composition in AD skin during dupilumab treatment.
Methods: Skin tape strip (STS) were collected from lesional/non-lesional skin of 20 AD patients during 16-week dupilumab treatment and from 20 healthy volunteers (HV) followed for 16-weeks.

The study aimed to compare the effects of different types of excimer laser keratectomy on rabbit corneas and to identify the optimal disease model for corneal ectasia. Additionally, investigating the structural and molecular alterations in the novel disease model helped explore the mechanisms underlying biomechanical cues in corneal ectasia. 2.
