In this study different methods for determining the mesopic visual acuity in candidates for driving licenses group 2 are presented (Royal Decree, 1998, European norms). Results of normal subjects are compared. Depending on the method used, visual acuity obtained under mesopic conditions, with an illuminance of 1 lux, showed a mean ranging from 0.5 to 0.65, which is clearly above the legal norm of 0.2. A comparative study of the three published official norms demonstrates that the stringent norms of 1966 do not match those of 1988 and 1998, resulting in a wider margin of acceptability, to the advantage of the candidate.

Purpose: The light adjustable lens (LAL) (RxSight, Aliso Viejo, CA) is a premium intraocular lens that allows for correction of residual refractive error and astigmatism following implantation. Herein, we describe the surgical approach and evaluate the visual outcomes of patients following scleral fixation of the LAL.
Methods: Retrospective, single-surgeon surgical case series of 3 patients (3 eyes) with intraocular lens complications, who underwent combined pars plana vitrectomy and sutureless needle assisted intrascleral haptic fixation of the LAL between April 2022, to August 2023.

Department of Ophthalmology, American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon.
Purpose: To report a successful case of vision restoration and macular reperfusion following branch retinal artery occlusion (BRAO) using pars plana vitrectomy with undermining the artery off the retinal bed.
Methods: This case report involves a 75-year-old patient who was diagnosed immediately with BRAO following cardiac catheterization procedure. An embolus at the superior retinal artery bifurcation was noted.

Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science, Eye and ENT Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai 200031, People's Republic of China.
Purpose: To describe a simplified technique for correcting intraocular lens (IOL) decentration during scleral-sutured IOL fixation surgery.
Methods: During surgery, Purkinje images were utilized to assess IOL positioning. A straightforward IOL decentration adjustment technique was employed when necessary.

Purpose: To report a case of drusen regression following pars plana vitrectomy with internal limiting membrane peel (ILMP) in a patient with a full-thickness macular hole and dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Methods: A 67-year-old gentleman presented in April 2024 with a full-thickness macular hole in OS and intermediate dry AMD OU. The patient underwent pars plana vitrectomy, ILMP, and an injection of sulfur hexafluoride gas for macular hole repair in OS.

Purpose: To characterize retinal vessel whitening (RVW) in Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP).
Methods: Single-center cross-sectional study. Review of clinical notes of clinically confirmed RP patients was performed followed by grading ultra-widefield imaging.
