This study explored the structural relationships among family of origin health, self-differentiation, mentalization, and marital satisfaction, focusing on indirect effects and gender differences. Data from 400 married Korean adults aged 30-49 were analyzed using structural equation modeling and multigroup analysis. Results revealed that all paths were significant except the direct impact of family-of-origin health on marital satisfaction.

Numerous cities in the Russian Federation have joined the World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities since 2011. In order to do quantitative evaluations of the age-friendliness of cities, the Age-Friendly Cities and Communities Questionnaire (AFCCQ) was developed in the Netherlands. The purpose of this study was to translate and test the validity and reliability of the AFCCQ for use in the Russian Federation, and to study the views on the age-friendliness of the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan from an intergenerational perspective.

The designated uses of lakes connect individuals to the natural environment, but some can expose recreational users to pathogens associated with fecal contamination that cause waterborne illnesses. Routine monitoring of fecal indicators in surface waters helps identify and track sources of fecal contamination to protect public health. Recent advances in genome editing tools and CRISPR-Cas technologies have enabled plant genome engineering reach new heights. The current regulatory exemptions for certain categories of genome edited products, such as those derived from SDN-1 and SDN-2, which are free of any transgene, have significantly accelerated genome editing research in a number of agricultural crop plants in different countries. Although CRISPR-Cas technology is becoming increasingly popular, it is still important to carefully consider a number of factors before planning and carrying conducting CRISPR-Cas studies.
