In the past priorities in pediatrics were dominated by different urgent medical problems as prematurity, infections, heart malformations and cancer. The growing impact of childhood overfeeding to health issues is not only visualized by overweight children attending open public i.e. outdoor swimming pools, sports events and school yards, but is now substantiated by controlled population studies.
