Introduction: Flow diverters are specialized stents used to treat intracranial aneurysms. Bioresorbable flow diverters (BRFDs) have been proposed as the next-generation of flow diverter technology. BRFDs aim to occlude and heal the aneurysm before safely dissolving into the body, mitigating complications associated with the permanent presence of conventional flow diverters.

The study area is located in a hyper arid area in the Western Egyptian Desert, which represents a massive agricultural project where irrigation water is extracted from the Nubian sandstone aquifer. This study focuses on the hydrogeochemical processes and its impact on the quality of the groundwater aquifer. Based on the geomorphology, the study area includes five geomorphological units, Wadi Kurkur bediplain, Aswan High Dam Lake, the Nile Valley, the West Dungul plain, and basement outcrops.

This study introduces a novel application of electrocoagulation (EC) as a pretreatment method for seawater desalination, uniquely focusing on reducing organic and biological fouling in reverse osmosis membranes. The EC process was investigated as an alternative to conventional approaches such as chemical coagulation, chlorination, and fouling inhibitors. EC was conducted in a batch cell using iron electrodes.

The interface between groundwater and surface water is a critical zone influencing ecohydrological and biogeochemical cycles within surface water ecosystems. It is characterized by complex redox gradients, with groundwater-mediated inflow of reduced substances affecting the oxygen budget of stream water. In this study, we have experimentally simulated the inflow of Fe(II)-rich groundwater into the open stream water of a flume system to quantify its effect on dissolved oxygen concentration in both the stream water and the hyporheic zone.
