A democratic nation needs an interdependent citizenry who are not only competent but who also can live together cooperatively with an eye toward what will benefit the whole as well as the self. In this article, the concept of interdependence is adopted as the central goal of parenting. The Parenting Processes Model is then presented, specifying how caregivers help children develop this interdependence. This work draws upon and integrates the work of a number of theoreticians, researchers, and clinicians, with the central focus on the work of John Bowlby, Alfred Adler, and Lev Vygotsky.

Background: Smartphone-based assessments are a promising tool for early detection of cognitive decline in midlife. Previous research has shown such cognitive markers can be sensitive to a range of potentially modifiable dementia risk factors even in healthy adults. However, their sensitivity to genetic risk factors like APOE-e4 is likely to differ by cognitive domain, with evidence of strong negative effects on wayfinding tasks but mixed for other domains.

Objective: The objective of the systematic review will be to evaluate the effect of paternity leave or fathers' parental leave on infant mortality rate, hospitalization, vaccination compliance, and breastfeeding duration.
Introduction: Current studies indicate that paternity leave positively affects infant health, but there is a significant lack of synthesized research on its impact on key infant health indicators. A systematic review of the existing evidence will help identify best practices and guide further research and policy development in this area.

This paper addresses a critical gap in family research by examining the risk of families with young children receiving the Minimum Living Income (MLI) in rejecting targeted social interventions, also known as non-take-up (NTU). We analyze recruting process data from the first invitation to participate in a social benefit including the "Growing Happily in the Family-2" program developed in Madrid, Spain, to their written consent prior to its implementation. Measurements of subjective factors reported as reasons for NTU and objective factors of sociodemographic characteristics and detailed household patterns of prior engagement with social services to study NTU response were based on official records and project data.
