As a green process, microalgal-bacterial granular sludge (MBGS) process shows talents in achieving pollutant removal, resource recovery and carbon neutralization. However, when it comes to application, the adequate mixing of MBGS and substrate should be adopted theoretically. Therefore, this study devoted to address the necessity of stirring for MBGS in municipal wastewater treatment.

Groundwater is an important water source for domestic, industrial, and agricultural use in the western part of Zoucheng, China. Understanding its hydrochemical characteristics and formation mechanisms is important for the sustainable development and utilization of groundwater. In this study, 36 water samples were collected during the wet and dry seasons, respectively, and the hydrochemical components such as K, Na, Ca, Mg, Cl, SO, HCO, NO, F, TH, and TDS were analyzed.

State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, 210096, China.

Proteins with a changeable conformation, such as polymerases, play a very important role in various life activities. Their conformational changes can be reflected in their structural size and flexibility, which may influence their transport kinetics. Recently, solid-state nanopore sensors have been widely applied to characterize the conformation of proteins and other complex structures as sensitive and high throughput single-molecule detectors.

Osteogenesis-angiogenesis coupling processes play a crucial role in bone regeneration. Here, electric field induced aligned nanofiber layers with tunable thickness were coated on the surface of pore walls inside the deferoxamine (DFO)-laden silk fibroin (SF) and hydroxyapatite (HA) composite scaffolds to regulate the release of DFO to control vascularization dynamically. Longer electric field treatments resulted in gradually thickening layers to reduce the release rate of DFO where the released amount of DFO decreased gradually from 84% to 63% after 28 days.

The composite materials based on graphitic carbon nitrides (g-CN) are remarkably better semiconductors, but the inherent photocatalytic performance in its generic synthesis form is not up to the mark. Eminence efforts have been made to improve its performance and photocatalytic efficiencies. Recently, extensive investigations have been performed to develop their texturally modified and highly porous structures to get around the big flaws of bulk g-CN.
