Published: August 2002

The main purpose of this study was to investigate possible differences in speed and accuracy of motor execution among female soccer players in an Expert Soccer group, a Novice Soccer group, and a Closed-skill Athlete group. There were two main findings. Firstly, both soccer groups performed better than the Closed-skill Athletes on speed and accuracy of motor execution. Secondly, there were no significant differences between Expert and Novice soccer players in the speed and accuracy of motor execution.

A closed-box kernel function for numerical simulation of transient heat conduction.

Sci Rep

December 2024

College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Quzhou University, Quzhou, 324000, China.

A new kernel function, termed the closed-box kernel function, has been developed to address numerical simulation of transient heat conduction in the same medium. Firstly, this method is versatile and not limited to specific industrial scenarios or designated materials. Secondly, the method solves the spatial temperature at each time point only once, eliminating the need for multiple iterations.

A weighted fuzzy inference method and application on wheel damage analysis.

Sci Rep

December 2024

School of Computer and Information Engineering, Shanghai Polytechnic University, Shanghai, 201209, China.

To mitigate the safety risks and economic losses caused by wheel damage, this paper proposes an interval valued fuzzy inference-based sound analysis method for wheel damage detection. Firstly, interval valued fuzzy sets are defined to represent various levels of damage severity. A similarity calculation method is then designed, based on the defined interval valued fuzzy sets, to assess the damage level of wheel components.

Aiming at the difficulty of extracting vibration data under actual working conditions of rolling bearings, this paper proposes a bearing reliability evaluation method based on generative adversarial network sample enhancement and maximum entropy method under the condition of few samples. Based on generative adversarial network, data sample enhancement under few samples is carried out, and the reliability analysis model is established by using the maximum entropy principle and Poisson process. The reliability is evaluated according to the reliability variation frequency, variation speed and variation acceleration.

As consumers increasingly prioritize food safety and nutritional value, the dairy industry faces a pressing need for rapid and accurate methods to detect essential nutritional components in milk, such as fat, protein, and lactose. Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) technology, known for its non-destructive, fast, and precise nature, shows great promise in food quality assessment. However, the high dimensionality of HSI data poses challenges for effective band selection and model optimization.

Digital PCR (dPCR) has transformed nucleic acid diagnostics by enabling the absolute quantification of rare mutations and target sequences. However, traditional dPCR detection methods, such as those involving flow cytometry and fluorescence imaging, may face challenges due to high costs, complexity, limited accuracy, and slow processing speeds. In this study, SAM-dPCR is introduced, a training-free open-source bioanalysis paradigm that offers swift and precise absolute quantification of biological samples.
