Anxiety is a severe social problem. It is a disease entity that occurs alone or accompanies other diseases such as depression, phobia, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Our earlier studies demonstrated that blockage of arachidonic acid (AA) pathway via inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme can modulate mGluRs-induced anxiety-like behavior.

Bitter is one of the five basic taste qualities, along with salty, sour, sweet and umami, used by mammals to access the quality of their food and orient their eating behaviour. Bitter taste detection prevents the ingestion of food potentially contaminated by bitter-tasting toxins. Bitter taste perception is mediated by a family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) called TAS2Rs.

Purpose: Preclinical studies suggest that trimebutine could be a potential treatment for glioblastoma. The aim of this study was to investigate the distribution, kinetics and tumor accumulation of [C]trimebutine.
Method: A proliferation assay and cell scratch healing assay were performed to confirm the antitumor effects of trimebutine on C6 glioma cells in-vitro.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), a prevalent form of head and neck cancer, poses a significant health challenge with limited improvements in patient outcomes over the years. Its development is influenced by a complex interplay of genetic alterations and environmental factors. While progress has been made in understanding the molecular mechanisms driving OSCC, pinpointing critical molecular markers and potential drug candidates has proven elusive.

Insects rely on odorant receptors (ORs) to detect and respond to volatile environmental cues, so the ORs are attracting increasing interest as potential targets for pest control. However, experimental analysis of their structures and functions faces significant challenges. Computational methods such as template-based modeling (TBM) and AlphaFold3 (AF3) could facilitate the structural characterisation of ORs.
