The sluggish reaction kinetics and formidable shuttle effect of soluble lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) are thorny problems for the future industrialization of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries. Therefore, exploring efficient electrocatalysts to capture LiPSs and accelerate their conversion is highly desirable yet tremendously challenging. Herein, a high-efficiency Bi/BiO/VMoN@rGO electrocatalyst with multifunctional active sites and multilevel heterointerfaces is elaborately designed for Li-S batteries.

The prevalence of co-morbid anxiety and depression varies greatly between research studies, making it difficult to understand and estimate the magnitude of this problem. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to provide up-to-date information on the global prevalence of co-morbid anxiety and depression in pregnant and postpartum women and to further investigate the sources of heterogeneity. Systematic searches of eight electronic databases were conducted for original studies published from inception to December 10, 2024.

Maxillary reconstruction poses unique challenges for the reconstructive surgeon because of the complex three-dimensional (3D) anatomy of the maxilla. Undertaking this endeavor on secondary reconstruction makes it more difficult due to problems in recreating the true defect. This study is an attempt to demonstrate the role of virtual surgical planning (VSP), 3D printing, and mock surgery in reconstructing such defects using free fibula flaps.

Clinical and epidemiological research is indispensable for improvements in evidence-based healthcare and health outcomes, but it also leaves important gaps in our understanding of health and illness. Qualitative research has been increasingly recognized as a key to addressing some of these gaps, using both exploratory (to gain a more complete and in-depth understanding of problems) and explanatory (to explain quantitative results) approaches. By finding out 'what's going on' and bringing people's stories to light, qualitative research is widely advocated as crucial in enhancing patient-centered research and healthcare.
