Along with increasing life expectancy and aging of the population, there is an increase in the incidence of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which often leads to blindness or irreversible vision loss and has a pronounced impact on the quality of life. Application of an extended complex of diagnostic techniques in ophthalmologic practice in order to expand the possibilities of early diagnosis and prognosis of the disease is urgent. Screening examination of patients with AMD was carried out.

The Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) constitutes a family of channels subdivided into seven subfamilies: Ankyrin (TRPA), Canonical (TRPC), Melastatin (TRPM), Mucolipin (TRPML), no-mechano-potential C (TRPN), Polycystic (TRPP), and Vanilloid (TRPV). Although they are structurally similar to one another, the peculiarities of each subfamily are key to the response to stimuli and the signaling pathway that each one triggers. TRPs are non-selective cation channels, most of which are permeable to Ca, which is a well-established second messenger that modulates several intracellular signaling pathways and is involved in physiological and pathological conditions in various cell types.

The maxilla is one of the regions of the human skull that shows significant variability with age and gender. This is due to the peculiarities of tooth eruption and age-related changes in the periodontium and adjacent structures, which undoubtedly affect the structure of the alveolar process, sometimes drastically altering it over time.

From the age of 25-30, the likelihood of developing pathological processes associated with aging begins to increase. Age-associated diseases (AAD) are a heterogeneous group of pathologies that are more likely to develop as they age. Clinically, the early development of AAD is identical to premature aging with all the ensuing consequences.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a global health concern, and the incidence of early onset (EO) CRC, has an upward trend. This study delves into the genomic landscape of EO-CRC, specifically focusing on pediatric (PED) and young adult (YA) patients, comparing them with adult (AD) CRC. In this retrospective monocentric investigation, we performed targeted next-generation sequencing to compare the mutational profile of 38 EO-CRCs patients (eight PED and 30 YA) to those of a 'control group' consisting of 56 AD-CRCs.
