Background Hysteroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure for diagnosing and treating intrauterine pathologies, can be challenging due to inadequate cervical dilation, leading to procedural difficulties and patient discomfort. Misoprostol, a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analog, is increasingly used for cervical ripening to ease hysteroscopic procedures. Poor ovarian response (POR) significantly impacts the success of assisted reproductive technology (ART), and growth hormone (GH) has been proposed as an adjuvant treatment to improve outcomes in POR patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of GH in enhancing pregnancy outcomes, registering a protocol on PROSPERO and searching multiple databases up to September 2023. Twelve systematic reviews/meta-analysis and 20 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 1984 patients were included.

Vitamin D deficiency during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of health issues in the offspring. Accordingly, recent Endocrine Society guidelines strongly support supplementation in pregnancy, also underlining that without consensus on optimal maternal vitamin D levels, routine screening is currently irrelevant. Knowledge of organ-specific effects of vitamin D and its association with maternal vitamin D status may aid to optimize vitamin D supplementation.

Methods: It was a prospective study conducted in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur between August 2023 and 2024, interviewing adult patients and healthcare professionals during consultations for IUD insertion.
