It appears possible to apply electric action not only for medical purposes, but also in stimulating the locomotor apparatus of healthy people. To achieve an effective influence on the neuro-muscular structure of the locomotor apparatus in man all-purpose multichannel on the neuro-muscular structure of the locomotor apparatus in man an all-purpose multichannel programmed electric stimulator with an autonomously pre-set program that permits it to form an arbitrary structure of stimulation signals, capable of being reconstructed in the course of the action, is proposed. This makes it possible to more flexibly and accurately take account of a naturally coordinated interaction of the muscles. A simplified portable version of an all-purpose stimulator is discussed.

Millions of individuals surviving a stroke have lifelong gait impairments that reduce their personal independence and quality of life. Reduced walking speed is one of the major problems limiting community mobility and reintegration. Previous studies have shown positive effect of robot-assisted gait training utilizing hip exoskeletons for individuals with gait impairments due to a stroke, leading to increased walking speed in post-treatment compared to pre-treatment assessments.

Purpose: Chronic jet lag (CJL) is known to disrupt circadian rhythms, which regulate various physiological processes, including ocular surface homeostasis. However, the specific effects of CJL on lacrimal gland function and the underlying cellular mechanisms remain poorly understood.
Methods: A CJL model was established using C57BL/6J mice.

Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic articular disease characterized by the progressive degeneration of cartilage and bone tissue, leading to the appearance of subchondral cysts, osteophyte formation, and synovial inflammation. Conventional treatments consist of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), analgesics, and glucocorticoids. However, the prolonged use of these drugs causes adverse effects.

Purpose: Although several techniques have been described for bent intramedullary nail removal, there is no universally accepted strategy. We hypothesized that a device based on the action principle of a three-point bend fixture could facilitate extraction of bent intramedullary nails; this paper describes its design and experimental testing.
Methods: Five large synthetic left femurs and five steel intramedullary nails were used.

Photoperiod and temperature are two of the most powerful environmental cues that entrain circadian clocks. Being ectothermic, fish must keep their body temperature within a physiological range to optimize biological processes mainly applying behavioral strategies. Here, we developed a low-cost, automated system that allows to create a horizontal multiple-step thermal gradient and video record fish behavior for long-term periods.
