"The paper sets out to test whether or not the movement pattern of people in Nigeria is step-wise. It examines the spatial order in the country and the movement pattern of people. It then analyzes the survey data and tests for the validity of step-wise migration in the country. The findings show that step-wise migration cannot adequately describe all the patterns observed." The presence of large-scale circulatory migration between rural and urban areas is noted. Ways to decrease the pressure on Lagos by developing intermediate urban areas are considered.

A safety case for an underground radioactive waste repository must show that groundwater will not in future transport radionuclides from the repository to the near-surface environment (the biosphere) in harmful quantities. Safety cases are developed step-wise throughout a programme to site and develop a repository. At early stages, before a site is selected, safety cases are generic and based on simplified safety assessment models of the disposal system that have conservative parameter values.

We report the first examples of intramolecular phosphine-stabilized tetra-coordinated germanium(iv) di-cationic compounds: [LGe][CFSO]3 and [LGe][CFSO]3 (L = 6-(diisopropylphosphanyl)-1,2-dihydroacenaphthylene-5-ide; L = 6-(diphenylphosphanyl)-1,2-dihydroacenaphthylene-5-ide). The step wise synthetic strategy involves the isolation of neutral and mono-cationic Ge(iv) precursors: [LGeCl][X] (X = GeCl1, OTf 2), [LGeCl] 1 and [LGeCl][OTf] 2. Both 3 and 3 exhibit constrained spiro-geometry.

They can differentiate into three germ layers, including the potential to generate hepatocytes. Objectives: We asked in our research whether the premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and its concomitants, differ between "sedente" and "migrant" populations hailing from the same ethnic group, owing to their living in contrasting socio-ecological conditions.
Methods: A total of 501 Oraon adolescents (sedente: 200, migrant: 301) were studied. Data on PMS was reported retrospectively using a list of 29 standard symptoms.
