There exist many limitations in current documentation systems whereby documented BP values may not be reflective of the dynamic variability of BP. Methotrexate (MTX), a widely administered medication for treating an array of tumors and autoimmune disorders, necessitates stringent monitoring due to the potential for severe adverse effects associated with its high dosage. Nevertheless, the existing methods for monitoring MTX are often intricate, time-consuming and incur significant costs. In this work, we constructed a controlled release sensor, harnessing the versatility of a personal glucose meter (PGM), which had been devised for the swift detection of MTX.

Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) is an opportunistic fungal infection that often occurs secondary to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. However, for non-HIV immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing novel immunosuppressive treatments to manage malignancies, organ transplants, or connective tissue diseases, PJP is emerging as an increasing threat. The clinical manifestations of PJP in HIV-infected and non-HIV-infected patients differ significantly.

Felty's syndrome (FS) is a rare and complex condition most commonly seen as a complication of longstanding rheumatoid arthritis (RA), characterized by a triad of RA, splenomegaly, and neutropenia. Diagnosing FS can be challenging due to its diverse clinical presentations and overlap with other hematologic and autoimmune conditions. We report a 47-year-old male with a history of severe anemia, recurrent blood transfusions, and a chronic leg ulcer.
