Article Synopsis
  • Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a common surgical procedure for patients with severe knee osteoarthritis, especially when non-surgical treatments fail, leading to significant improvements in pain, function, and quality of life.
  • The procedure can use various components (cemented, cementless, or a hybrid) and is generally performed with a focus on mechanical alignment, although newer alignment strategies like gap and kinematic balancing are showing promising results in early studies.
  • The preferred surgical technique for cementless TKA involves a specific patient positioning and incision approach, starting with the application of a thigh tourniquet and a parapatellar incision, ensuring proper alignment and access during the surgery.*

An important subject of porous organic materials is their capacity to access enantioselectivity due to their high surface area, controllable pore size, and ease of functionalization. However, recyclability of enantio-separation is a challenge, mainly due to the complex procedures of recovery and refreshing from enantiomers. For the first time, we combined nanochannel technology and supramolecular chiral assembly to achieve efficient enantioselectivity.

This study intended to fabricate a novel Fenton-like catalyst by supporting the rod-like MIL-88A and the magnetic tin ferrite nanoparticles (SnFeO) on the MXene sheets (MIL-88A/SnFeO@MXene). The well fabrication and determination of the MIL-88A/SnFeO@MXene properties were investigated using SEM, XPS, VSM, Zeta potential, XRD, and FTIR tools. The Fenton-like degradation reaction of CR by MIL-88A/SnFeO@MXene was thoroughly studied to identify the optimal proportions of the catalyst components, the impact of CR and HO concentrations, as well as the effect of raising the temperature and the pH medium of the catalytic system and the catalyst dosage.
