The purpose of this study was to determine the prognostic value of a normal 201Tl scan in patients with a positive treadmill exercise stress test. We analyzed retrospectively 85 consecutive patients with a positive treadmill exercise test and normal Tl201 scan who were studied for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease from January 1996 to December 2000. The pretest probability of coronary artery disease was intermediate or high in all patients. Seventy-eight patients (89%) were followed up for 2.03 years. Forty patients (51%) were men. Age was 56 years. The cardiac events considered were angina, revascularization, nonfatal myocardial infarction, and cardiac death. During the follow-up period, none of the patients suffered a major cardiac event. Eight patients had episodes of chest pain and one had angor that required revascularization. Patients with an intermediate probability of coronary artery disease before the test and normal myocardial radionuclide scan had a very good prognosis even with a positive treadmill exercise test.

Methods: Fifteen patients ( = 15) with chronic stroke were randomly assigned to either the virtual reality-based real-time feedback with treadmill gait training (experimental group = 8) or the treadmill gait training (control group = 7).

We sought to evaluate the effects of a 12-week pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) program on lung function, mechanics, as well as pulmonary and systemic inflammation in a cohort of 33 individuals with moderate to severe post-COVID-19. : The pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) program employed a combination of aerobic and resistance exercises. Thirty minutes of treadmill training at 75% of the maximum heart rate, combined with 30 min resistance training consisting of 75% of one maximum repetition, three times a week throughout 12 weeks.

Methods: A scoping search of studies of the effectiveness of underwater treadmill exercise trials from 1947 to 2024 was conducted using the following databases: EMBASE, MEDLINE, SPORTDiscus, CINAHL, and Cochrane Reviews. To be included, studies were required to have included adult participants living with chronic pain (defined as pain lasting for 3 months or longer) who participated in an active underwater treadmill exercise intervention.
