Unlabelled: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a prevalent malignancy in the oral-maxillofacial region with a poor prognosis. Oral microbiomes play a potential role in the pathogenesis of this disease. However, findings from individual studies have been inconsistent, and a comprehensive understanding of OSCC-associated microbiome dysbiosis remains elusive.

Background: The conventional treatment for locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA-HNSCC) is surgery; however, the efficacy of definitive chemoradiotherapy (CRT) remains controversial.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the ability of deep learning (DL) models to identify patients with LA-HNSCC who can achieve organ preservation through definitive CRT and provide individualized adjuvant treatment recommendations for patients who are better suited for surgery.
Methods: Five models were developed for treatment recommendations.
Background: The relationship between serum uric acid level (SUA) and periodontal diseases (PD) is still controversial, and few studies have been carried out in population with no element of metabolic syndrome especially in sub-Saharan Africa. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between PD and SUA in Cameroonian adults not suffering from metabolic syndrome.
Methods: We carried out a cross-sectional study including Cameroonians aged over 18 years recruited in the general population and free of metabolic syndrome elements.

Objective: Gingival recession is a complication that can occur after orthodontic treatment, and its cause is still very controversial in the literature. The objective of this study was to report a clinical case of orthodontic retreatment conducted with in-office aligners and root coverage using free gingival graft, connective tissue graft, and Emdogaim for a patient with severe gingival recession.
Clinical Considerations: This report presents a potential solution to correct a gingival recession with in-office clear aligner.
