We report an alternative descemetopexy technique in a case of Descemet's membrane detachment after viscocanalostomy, possibly caused by high-molecular-weight viscoelastic material.

Purpose: To assess the safety and efficacy of non-penetrating deep sclerectomy (NPDS) in advanced open-angle glaucoma patients.
Design: Retrospective observational study.
Methods: Forty-two eyes of 38 patients with advanced glaucoma who underwent NPDS surgery combined with mitomycin-C with or without phacoemulsification were evaluated for up to 12 months at a tertiary eye care center in South India.

With the popularity of descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) in the recent decade, there is a need to adopt the preparation of DMEK tissues in the eye banks. This necessitated surgical training of the eye bank technicians, development of infrastructure in the eye bank, innovative methods of graft preparation, and delivery for the surgery at distant surgery centers.

Case Presentation: A 32-year-old male with a history of left eye keratoconus presented to the emergency department with left eye pain and blurry vision for two days. Out of concern for corneal hydrops, ophthalmology was consulted, and the diagnosis was confirmed. Per ophthalmology recommendations, the patient was started on hypertonic saline and prednisolone eye drops and referred to a corneal specialist.
