Background: Canna edulis is a high-quality resistant starch raw material, especially for making flour products. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Canna edulis starch (CES) on the properties of flour, rheology of dough and quality of semi-dry noodles. The CES replaced part of the wheat flour in the semi-dry noodle formula.

Aims: Crovalimab is a novel C5 inhibitor administered first intravenously and then subcutaneously in patients with paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) naive to complement inhibition or switching from eculizumab or ravulizumab. Crovalimab showed efficacy and safety comparable to eculizumab in the pivotal COMMODORE 2 and supporting studies.
Methods: We characterized crovalimab pharmacokinetics and the relationship between exposure pharmacokinetic parameters and pharmacodynamic biomarkers, efficacy and safety endpoints using pooled data (healthy volunteers [n = 9], naive [n = 210] and switched [n = 211] patients).

Objective: A medial open-wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) may increase the posterior tibial slope (PTS). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the osteotomy inclination angle (in the sagittal plane) in combination with different hinge positions (in the transverse plane) on the change in PTS due to a MOWHTO.
Methods: We developed a mathematical approach to determine the effect of the osteotomy inclination angle combined with different hinge positions.

Background: Heart failure, a complex clinical syndrome with high morbidity and mortality, has become a significant burden on public health. Recently, a new class of antidiabetic agents-the sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors-was associated with a significant reduction on mortality and hospitalization in HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) when added to standard pharmacological treatment. Considering the lack of data on its cost-effectiveness, the present study aims to estimate the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of add-on dapagliflozin treatment for HFrEF from the Brazilian public healthcare system perspective.

Reliable proprioception and feedback from soft sensors are crucial for enabling soft robots to function intelligently in real-world environments. Nevertheless, soft sensors are fragile and are susceptible to various damage sources in such environments. Some researchers have utilized redundant configuration, where healthy sensors compensate instantaneously for lost ones to maintain proprioception accuracy.
