Non-A non-B aortic dissection remains a complex and controversial topic in cardiovascular management, eliciting varied approaches among cardiologists and surgeons. Due to the limited evidence surrounding this condition, existing guidelines are limited in the complexity of their recommendations. While most patients are initially managed medically, invasive treatment becomes necessary in a large proportion of patients.

Background: Frozen fruits and vegetables (FV) are convenient, cost-effective, reduce food waste, and can be just as nutritious as their fresh counterparts. Despite these numerous advantages, it is unclear which consumer segments are more likely to purchase frozen FV, especially compared with fresh, canned, or dried FV, which could help inform targeted nutrition education interventions.
Objective: The objective of this study is to explore sociodemographic factors associated with increased or decreased odds of purchasing frozen, fresh, canned, and dried FV in a nationally representative sample.

This study focused on the effect of ultrasound-assisted immersion freezing (UIF) with different ultrasound power (200, 400, 600 W) on the physicochemical and digestive properties of beef myofibrillar proteins (BMP). The results showed that the solubility and thermal stability of BMP were significantly increased, when treated with 400 W ultrasound, and the α-helix, β-sheets, β-turns, and random-coil fractions structures content were higher and the fluorescence intensity was closest to that of the control group, demonstrating enhanced structural stability of BMP. The protein digestibility of the UIF-400 W group was significantly enhanced while the particle size of the digested product was reduced, which proved its enhanced digestion characteristics.

Convergent and parallel evolution occur more frequently than previously thought. Here, we focus on the evolutionary adaptations of angiosperms to sub-zero temperatures. We begin by introducing the research history of convergent and parallel evolution, defining all independent similarities as convergent evolution.
