We demonstrate that the fractional-order Fourier transformation is a suitable method to analyze the diffraction patterns of particle field holograms. This method permits reconstruction of in-line digital holograms beyond the Fraunhofer condition (d2/lambdaz approximately/= 10). We show that the diameter of spherical particles is measured with good accuracy. Simulation and experimental results are presented.

The widely adopted Jacobi-Fourier moment (JFM) is limited by its inability to effectively capture spatial information. Although fractional-order JFM ( FOJFM) introduces spatial information through a fractional-order parameter, the control of spatial information remains inadequate. This limitation stems from the insufficient control over zeros distribution associated with the used moment's radial kernel.

Magnetic nanoparticles modified with tetraethyl orthosilicate (FeO@TEOS) and bovine serum albumin (FeO@TEOS@BSA) were evaluated as sorbent in albumin depletion from human serum samples by magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction. Characterization studies were carried out by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, zeta potential, and scanning electron microscopy. Both nanoparticles also showed high thermal stability and pH-dependent surface charges.
