This study uses a combination of the FLEXPART Lagrangian dispersion model with the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) mesoscale Eulerian model (FLEXPART-WRF) to analyze the expected mid- to late-century changes in the moisture sources and sinks of the North American East Coast (ENA) and the Gulf of Mexico (GM), as well as their most relevant abrupt moisture transport events-atmospheric rivers (ARs) and low-level jets of the Great Plains (GPLLJ) and the Caribbean (CLLJ). Both the ENA and GM are expected to increase in importance as moisture source regions over the century, both overall and in their contributions to the ARs and both LLJs. A notable increase in the intensity of the GPLLJ and CLLJ moisture sources is also observed.

Quantum dots (QDs) are promising materials for optoelectronic applications, but their widespread adoption requires controllable, selective, and scalable deposition methods. While traditional methods like spin coating and drop casting are suitable for small-scale deposition onto flat substrates, and ink-jet printing offers precision for small areas, these methods struggle with conformal deposition onto non-planar, large area substrates or selective deposition onto large area chips. Electrophoretic deposition (EPD) is an efficient and versatile technique capable of achieving conformal and selective area deposition over large areas, but its application to QD films has been limited.

Few of the many chemicals that regulatory agencies are charged with assessing for risk have been carefully tested for developmental neurotoxicity (DNT). To speed up testing efforts, as well as to reduce the use of vertebrate animals, great effort is being devoted to alternate laboratory models for testing DNT. A major mechanism of DNT is altered neuronal architecture resulting from chemical exposure during neurodevelopment.
