Introduction: Increased intracranial pressure (ICP) is common with viral encephalitis in children which is associated with complications and prognosis. The optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) is a new indicator for the assessment of intracranial pressure using ultrasound, CT scan and MRI imaging. Given the influence of physical development on ONSD size in children, we expect more accurate assessment of intracranial pressure with ONSD/ETD (eyeball transverse diameter) ratio by ultrasound.

Background: Accurate localization of small pulmonary nodules (SPNs) during video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is challenging due to the small size and deep location. Both the 4-hook wire technique and methylene blue are significant methods for preoperative localization of SPNs. This study aimed to compare the safety of both methods by monitoring and recording any surgery-related complications.

Gastric cancer (GC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with gastrectomy being the primary treatment option. Sepsis, a systemic inflammatory response to infection, may influence tumor growth by creating an immunosuppressive environment conducive to cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. Here, the effect of abdominal infection on tumor growth and metastasis was investigated through the implementation of a peritoneal metastasis model and a subcutaneous tumor model.
