Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been known for its high propensity of metastasis to unusual locations, and jaw bones (JBs) are one among those sites. The literature has reported several studies analyzing metastatic tumors to the oral region, but very little research work has been published to date to analyze solely JB metastasis (JBM) via RCC. A 50-year-old female presented with a 10-day history of progressive swelling and pain in the left lower extremity, ultimately diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS). Initial ultrasound indicated thrombosis involving the left external iliac, femoral, and popliteal veins, among others. Blood tests revealed normocytic anemia, but thrombophilia screening and other blood markers were normal.

Introduction: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) surgeries are rapidly increasing due to an aging population, leading to an increase in degenerative hip osteoarthritis. However, 1% of these patients go through prosthetic joint infection (PJI), which gives rise to implant failure with prolonged periods of patient incapacitation and higher mortality risk.
Case Report: In this article, we report an unusual case of a 62-year-old male who developed a PJI 7 months after a THA.

Background: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a self-limiting benign disease with slow progression in which the normal bone is replaced by dysplastic fibrous tissue. The craniofacial skeleton is one of the most commonly affected areas, and it can create unique challenges in dental implant therapy. This case aims to report an unusual presentation of FD localized in the alveolar crest bone of the edentulous site, causing special obstacles to implant placement, and provide a diagnostic and treatment process that may be referenced.
