The ultrastructural comparison between E and EA rosettes showed that, in the former, the rosetting lymphocytes are mostly round in shape and their interaction with sheep erythrocytes only consists of limited areas of membrane contact, in the latter, rosetting lymphocytes are mostly in the shape of uropods and surrounding ox red cells show pseudopods protruding towards the lymphocyte and coming into contact with it.

To get further insights on the micro-nanoplastic (MNP) effects on plants, the aim of this study was to evaluate the response of hydroponically cultivated Arabidopsis thaliana to the presence of differentially colored polyethylene terephthalate (PET) particles. MNP impacts on the root organ were studied at a molecular level, with a special focus on the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAS) in the regulation of gene expression after PET exposure. MNPs of transparent (Tr-PET) and blue (Bl-PET) material at environmentally realistic concentration caused a significant reduction in root length, while only Bl-PET significantly reduced rosette area.

The cosmetic-tattoo industry is evolving every year and the microstructures of the equipment have the great potential for semi-permanent makeup applications. Present paper explores the materials and microparticles of semi-permanent makeup tattoo needles. The surface of the five-round-shader tattoo needle used in semi-permanent makeup process was examined by scanning electron microscopy, and its elemental composition was analyzed by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.

Divergent banana streak viruses (BSV) were characterized from banana plants exhibiting diverse symptoms in the Northeast region (NER) of India. Using rolling circle amplification (RCA), the complete genome sequences of seven episomal banana streak MY virus (BSMYV) isolates, including two novel variants, and two new banana streak IM virus (BSIMV) isolates were characterized. The novel BSMYV genetic variants were associated with conspicuous necrosis on newly emerged leaves, peduncle distortion, pseudostem internal necrosis, in addition to common streak symptoms.

Article Synopsis
  • This study compares a new sodium MRI technique called the PETALUTE sequence to a conventional technique using DA-radial spokes for imaging knee cartilage in healthy subjects.
  • The results show that PETALUTE provides similar sodium quantification in cartilage while significantly reducing scan time (2:06 vs. 3:36 minutes).
  • Additionally, PETALUTE can be further accelerated using compressed sensing, maintaining good structural similarity to non-accelerated images.

Purpose: To implement rosette readout trajectories with compressed sensing reconstruction for fast and motion-robust CEST and magnetization transfer contrast imaging with inherent correction of B inhomogeneity.

Methods: A pulse sequence was developed for fast saturation transfer imaging using a stack of rosette trajectories with a higher sampling density near the k-space center. Each rosette lobe was segmented into two halves to generate dual-echo images.
